These terms apply when you use the InvoiceIt website and free invoice generator. By using the site you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to trip you up.
InvoiceIt is a free tool that helps you lay out and generate invoice PDFs in your browser. It formats what you type; it does not check it. It is a document tool, not an accounting service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of every invoice you create — including amounts, VAT rates and registration numbers, CIS deductions, payment details and anything else on the document. InvoiceIt performs arithmetic on the figures you enter, but nothing on this site is tax, accounting or legal advice. If you are unsure how VAT, CIS or invoicing rules apply to your business, speak to an accountant or check the official HMRC guidance.
You may not use InvoiceIt to create fraudulent, deceptive or unlawful documents, to invoice for goods or services that are illegal, or to impersonate another person or business. We may block access for misuse.
InvoiceIt is provided free of charge, as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the site will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or the documents it produces. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
The content you put into your invoices is yours. The InvoiceIt name, site design and code are ours, and you agree not to copy or resell the service itself.
We may update these terms as the product grows — for example when paid plans launch, which will carry their own additional terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
