This policy explains what information InvoiceIt collects when you use this website and the free invoice generator, and what happens to it. The short version: your invoices never leave your device, and the only thing we ever store is an email address you choose to give us.
Everything you type into the invoice generator — your business details, client details, line items, bank details and totals — is processed entirely in your browser. It is not sent to our servers, and we cannot see it. The PDF is generated on your device. If you choose to have your details remembered for next time, they are saved in your browser's local storage on your device only, and you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.
If you submit your email address through the optional form on the generator page, we store that address in order to tell you about new templates and features. That is its only use. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for their marketing, or attach it to your invoice activity. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
This site is hosted by Webflow, and form submissions are stored on Webflow's infrastructure. The generator's code is delivered by the jsDelivr content delivery network, and the PDF library is delivered by Cloudflare's cdnjs. Like most web infrastructure, these services keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request times) to operate and secure their networks. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address under Google's own privacy terms. It never sees the contents of any invoice you create, because that data does not leave your device. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Since the only personal data we hold is an email address you gave us, exercising these rights is usually as simple as asking us to remove it.
If we change how the product handles data — for example when account features launch — we will update this page and change the date at the top before those changes take effect.
